Cultivate More Joy: Yoga for Heart Health Workshop

Seasonal Yoga Workshops with Alison

As summer reaches its peak, nature invites us into this season of expansion, warmth, connection, and joy. In the wisdom traditions of Yoga, Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine, summer is associated with the Fire Element and the Heart—the organ that governs not only circulation, but also our capacity for presence, vitality, and authentic expression.

When balanced, the Heart embodies joy, enthusiasm, love, and connection. When out of balance, we may experience restlessness, anxiety, overexcitement, or difficulty settling into ourselves.

Join me for a nourishing two-hour summer practice to support the heart and nervous system through alignment-based postures, breathwork, and a therapeutic sequence of yin and restorative Yoga. We will explore practices that gently open the chest, shoulders, upper back, and heart center while cultivating steadiness, ease, and inner radiance.

This all-levels workshop will include:

• Seasonal wisdom for summer and the Fire Element
• Breath practices to regulate and balance the nervous system
• Gentle flow and therapeutic movement to awaken circulation and vitality
• Heart-opening postures and mindful backbends
• Yin Yoga targeting the Heart and Small Intestine meridians
• Guided relaxation and meditation to cultivate inner calm and joy

Whether you are seeking greater vitality, emotional balance, or simply an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with yourself, this workshop offers a supportive space to align with the energy of summer.

Leave feeling grounded, open-hearted, and connected to the warmth and wisdom of summer.

July 25th, 4-6 pm

$40- Limited to 20 people

Women's Workshop: Navigating Menopause & Perimenopause

From Winter's Wisdom to Spring's Stirring — A 3-Hour Immersion with Alison & Jeanie

If you're waking at 3am, carrying weight you can't explain, feeling anxious for no clear reason, or noticing your body changing in ways nobody warned you about — this afternoon is for you.

Perimenopause and menopause aren't just hormonal shifts. They arrive alongside some of life's biggest transitions — kids leaving home, relationships evolving, losing parents, questioning who you are now. It's a lot to hold. And most of us are holding it alone.

This immersion was designed to change that.

Alison and Jeanie will guide you through practices that directly support what your body and nervous system are navigating right now — including Ayurvedic wisdom, abhyanga self-massage, nervous system reset tools, and meditation proven to calm cortisol and restore sleep. You'll leave with real practices you can bring home, plus the deep exhale that comes from spending an afternoon in a room full of women who get it.

This is the beginning of your wise woman years. They can be really good.

February 28th, 1:00–4:00pm

6/13 Retro Yoga Workshop with De West- Returning to the Roots of Practice

In a world of fast-paced flows and performance-based movement, this 2-hour yoga therapy workshop with De West  invites you to slow down and return to the roots of practice. Retro Yoga is not about going backward, it’s about remembering what works in this 5,000 year old tradition. The quiet of a shared room, the steadiness of breath, the simplicity of practice without music, performance, or pressure. We’ll explore accessible, awareness-based movement, breath, and rest inspired by traditional yoga, yoga therapy, and somatic approaches.

This workshop emphasizes function over form, awareness over achievement, and relationship over intensity, guiding you through gentle, intelligent sequences to reduce unnecessary tension, restore natural mobility, support nervous system regulation, and rebuild trust in the body.

Expect unhurried pacing, subtle exploration, and a long, spacious savasana. This is a practice of listening, not pushing. A space where less becomes more. No experience needed. All bodies are welcome. Space is limited to 20.

Saturday, 6/13 from 4:00-6:00pm

Golden Hour Yoga

Justine's align and flow style class, with one very important addition: Calhoun, her golden retriever and official assistant teacher (See his Teacher Bio)

Expect a thoughtfully sequenced vinyasa flow with clear alignment cues, grounding breathwork, and the occasional furry interruption. Calhoun specializes in standing between your legs for stability (and scratches), surprise smelly-breath kisses, and taking savasana very seriously. He believes in living fully, loving freely, and snacking often.

All levels welcome. Calhoun already considers you his best friend.
