6/13 Retro Yoga Workshop with De West- Returning to the Roots of Practice

In a world of fast-paced flows and performance-based movement, this 2-hour yoga therapy workshop with De West  invites you to slow down and return to the roots of practice. Retro Yoga is not about going backward, it’s about remembering what works in this 5,000 year old tradition. The quiet of a shared room, the steadiness of breath, the simplicity of practice without music, performance, or pressure. We’ll explore accessible, awareness-based movement, breath, and rest inspired by traditional yoga, yoga therapy, and somatic approaches.

This workshop emphasizes function over form, awareness over achievement, and relationship over intensity, guiding you through gentle, intelligent sequences to reduce unnecessary tension, restore natural mobility, support nervous system regulation, and rebuild trust in the body.

Expect unhurried pacing, subtle exploration, and a long, spacious savasana. This is a practice of listening, not pushing. A space where less becomes more. No experience needed. All bodies are welcome. Space is limited to 20.

Saturday, 6/13 from 4:00-6:00pm
