About Online Kaiut Classes

At Boulder Yoga Studio, we offer both in-person and live-stream Kaiut classes via Zoom so you can practice in the way that best supports you, whether you're here in Boulder or joining from afar.

How do I join an online class?

  • Visit the Class Schedule on our website and reserve your spot in advance for any class that says LIVESTREAM.

  • You’ll receive an email before class with your Zoom link and password.

  • Click the link, enter the password, and you’re in.

We recommend logging in a few minutes early so you can get settled and begin class with ease. If it’s your first time using Zoom, you may be prompted to download the app; this tends to create the smoothest experience.

Setting up your space

Create a simple, quiet space where you can move comfortably.

  • If you have a yoga mat, place it near a wall with the short edge touching the wall.

  • If you don’t have a mat, a carpeted area works well.

  • Make sure you have enough room to stretch fully in all directions.

Props + equipment

You don’t need much to begin. Many household items work well as props:

  • Books → blocks

  • Towels → blankets or straps

  • Chairs → support for balance or seated work

Your class confirmation email will include any specific prop suggestions for that session.

Camera setup (optional but helpful)

If you’re comfortable, positioning your camera so the teacher can see you allows for more guidance and support. The camera is primarily for the teacher to be able to see you.  Most of the time in Kaiut Livestream classes, it will not be necessary for you to see the teacher as you will be listening to the teacher, often with your eyes closed.

  • Place your device 4–6 feet from your mat

  • Slightly elevate it (on a chair or table)

  • Angle it toward the front corner of your mat

If your space is limited, don’t worry. Your teacher can help you adjust when you arrive.

Need support?

We’re here to help. If you have any questions or want support getting set up, feel free to reach out via email HERE. We’re happy to walk you through anything.

First time joining us?

We offer a complimentary first online class so you can get a feel for the studio. We’d love to have you practice with us.

A note on practice

Whether you’re joining online or in the studio, you’re part of the space. Most of the time in Kaiut classes, you’ll be guided by voice rather than demonstration so that you can settle inward, move at your own pace, and stay connected to your experience.
