Hillary Allen: Elite mountain ultra runner, mindset coach, and neuroscientist.

Hillary Allen earned the nickname "Hillygoat" early in her career for her ability to run fast on steep, technical mountain terrain. She won the US SkyRunner Series in her debut ultra-trail season and went on to race across the world, collecting wins and course records that established her as one of the best mountain ultra runners alive.

In 2017, Hillary fell 150 feet off a ridgeline during a Skyrace in Tromsø, Norway. She broke 14 bones. Medical professionals told her she would never run again. After years of grueling rehab and an unwavering belief in herself, she returned to elite competition -- running some of the longest and most challenging races of her career post-accident.

"Your best athletic days are ahead of you -- if you're willing to work hard for what you love and never give up on yourself."

What makes Hillary exceptional isn't just what she's survived. It's what she's built from it. She holds a master's degree in applied sports psychology, neuroscience, and physiology -- and has dedicated her coaching work to the thing most athletes never train: the mind. As a mindset and mental performance coach, she works with endurance athletes on resilience, confidence, and the mental tools that determine how far you actually go.

Yoga was one of the first places Hillary was able to reconnect with her body after her accident. It's where the inner work became physical, and the physical became something deeper. Boulder Yoga Studio is a natural landing place for that side of the sport -- the part that lives underneath the miles, the part that endurance athletes often sense but rarely slow down enough to explore. We're proud to bring her here.
