Susan Brooks, PhD
Susan brings her experience as a health practitioner, educator, and lifelong student of wellness practices to helping people cultivate greater vitality and resilience. Her work is rooted in the understanding that true well-being arises when body, mind, and spirit are given the opportunity to reconnect and restore. Blending contemplative practice with science, Susan offers accessible approaches that support balance, healing, and healthy aging.
With over 50 years of personal yoga practice and 15 years immersed in Kaiut Yoga, Susan teaches with curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for the body's innate wisdom.
Her classes invite students to move with greater ease, comfort, and awareness. She is dedicated to supporting healthy aging and people to navigate life's transitions with strength and grace. She believes that healing happens not only on the mat, but through connection—with ourselves, one another, and the natural world.
Susan holds an international yoga certification with 300 hours of teacher training; a PhD in Health Sciences; a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and certification as a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner (FNLP). She is a 40-year instructor and practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese acupressure).
